Board Care

Cleaning:

  1. With a clean cloth and soap and water solution, wipe all sides of the board thoroughly until all debris is removed.
  2. Using clean water, wipe down the board to remove soap.
  3. Wipe down board with a dry towel and allow to air dry completely.

Conditioning:

Depending on the use and household conditions, your board should be treated a minimum of once a month.

  1. With a soft cloth or paper towel, apply an even coat of food grade mineral oil to all surfaces of the board.
  2. Allow the oil to fully penetrate the wood surface overnight, then wipe off any excess oil.
  3. Apply a liberal coat of our Board Conditioner to all surfaces of the board, using a soft cloth or paper towel.
  4. Allow the conditioner to sit overnight, or a minimum of 4 hours. This will seal the top of the wood surface and act as a protective barrier.
  5. Buff off all excess conditioner.
